National Forest is located in Michigan's upper peninsula and is divided into
two forest areas (Eastside
and
Westside).
The
Huron-Manistee National Forests comprise almost a million acres of public lands extending
across the northern lower peninsula of Michigan.
The
almost one million acres of the Ottawa
National Forest are located in the western
Upper Peninsula of Michigan. It extends from the south shore of Lake Superior
down to Wisconsin and the Nicolet National Forest..
