USDA Forest Service
The
Black Hills National Forest are in western South Dakota and northeastern
Wyoming, covering an area 125 miles long and 65 miles wide. They encompass
rugged rock formations, canyons and gulches, open grassland parks, tumbling
streams, deep blue lakes, and unique caves.
The
Dakota Prairie
National Forest is where pristine vistas inspire
the imagination; where the rugged unspoiled beauty of the landscape invites
exploration; and where the sights and sounds of the wide, rolling prairie
stimulates the senses.
Buffalo Gap & Fort Pierre
National Forest is located in central and western Nebraska and central
and western South Dakota. This Forest is comprised of 2 national forests, 3
national grasslands, a tree nursery and is host to a Job Corps facility.
