Mrs. Jetro Nkengafac will visit the College of Menominee Nation Sustainable Development institute Oct 16- 22, 2011 as part of her ongoing fellowship program with the USDA Agricultural Research Service in Beltsville, MD. Her visit will focus on organic farming and compost production as well as agricultural outreach to tribal communities.
CMN staff and students, the public, and all community members are invited to a welcome luncheon and presentation October 17th from noon to 1:30PM in Litoff Hall, Campus Commons, on the CMN Keshena campus.
Jetro is a research officer and the head of the agro physiology lab at the Institute for Agricultural Research for Development in Beua, Cameroon. Her current research focuses on converting cocoa byproducts to organic fertilizers/composts using mixtures of various components. Jetro is currently completing a Borlaug Fellowship.
